Teuta Sahatqija is a member of the Lidhja Demokratike e Kosoves Presidency and a member of the Department of Foreign Affairs. She is an Engineer, Master in Electronics and Certified Expert in Digital Transformation. Teuta has completed the Advanced Program on Women, Gender, and Sexuality at Dartmouth College, USA. Throughout her work Sahatqija demonstrated leadership characteristics, initially as engineer and manager, as director and founder of telecommunication companies and finally as a leader in politics. She has been a Member of Parliament for several terms, General Consul of Kosovo in New York, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Sahatqija is the co-founder of the Women Caucus, which she led in her fourth legislative term. She has been distinguished for establishing alliances between women from different parties and sectors. Sahatqija is the co-founder of the Regional Women's Lobby, KUSA, a US alumni association. Most recently she is the Director of Women in Tech Kosovo and Advisor to the Mayor of Pristina for Digitalization and Smart City. Teuta is known as an activist for the political, economic, social empowerment and most recently for the empowerment of women's digital.
