Shpend Ahmeti is the Mayor of the capital city Pristina. He holds a master's degree in Public Policy at Harvard University, USA, obtained in 2004, specializing in Economic and Political Development. He completed university studies in Economics and Business Administration at the American University in Bulgaria in 2000, specializing in Applied Economics and Business Administration. During his studies between 1999-2002, Mr. Ahmeti was a senator and then the President of the Student Government at American University in Bulgaria, as well as leader of various communities (from more than ten countries) through the period of reforms at university. Since 2005, Mr. Ahmeti has been a lecturer of Public Policies and International Economic Policies at the American University in Kosovo (AUK). Besides the Albanian language (his mother tongue), he speaks English, Serbian, Croatian, Macedonian, Bulgarian and he also has knowledge German language. He is the winner of several awards such as the World Bank Spot Award and European Debating Championships. Mr. Ahmeti lives in Pristina with his wife, Ardiana, and two children.

Shqipe Gjocaj is a gender specialist, a feminist activist, and an independent journalist. She has eight years of experience in the civil society sector and media. She has worked on several projects in the local NGOs as a researcher and project manager, namely on anti-corruption, election processes, and human rights. Gender issues are the focal point of her work; gender perspective in the election and political processes, mainstreaming gender in policies and working places, women’s reproductive rights, gender representation in the media, LGBTQ+, and other related issues that cover the politics of gender and sexuality. She is a regular contributor to Prishtina Insight where she writes on politics and society from the gender and human rights perspective. Her articles have also been published in Kosovo2.0, sbunker, and Reuters. She is a master's graduate in Cultural Studies from the College University of Hedmark in Norway and a bachelor's in English Language and Literature from the University of Prishtina. Her native language is Albanian and she is fluent in written and spoken English. She was a fellow at Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence (2017); a K2.0 Human Rights Journalism Fellowship program fellow (2019); a participant in the IVLP: Women Leaders – Promoting Peace and Security by the U.S. Department of State.

Sonja Lokar is a Slovenian freelance expert for gender equality, Chair of the Stability Pact Gender Task Force (1999-2009), a president of the European Women's Lobby in 2012. LP Westminster Foundation consultant and mediator in the OSCE Serbia and Kosovo Missions. More recently, she has been an NDI consultant for Tunisian and Moroccan women activists from different political parties, as well as a member of the NDI international observation mission of the first free elections in Tunisia, and has taken part in the process of establishing “Women’s Academy for Africa”, in Maputo, Mozambique. Her expertise includes the creation and implementation of national and international projects on gender equality (in Slovenia, and in 32 different, mostly transition countries) for women members of left-wing political parties and women from all walks of life and from all political backgrounds. She participated in the UN Women Expert Group meeting in September 2020, preparing recommendations for the UN CSW 65 Session on political empowerment of women, scheduled for 2021. She holds a degree in French Language and a degree in Sociology from Ljubljana University.

Teuta Haxhiu is a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo from the political party Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK). Mrs. Haxhiu was a mathematics teacher for 27 years, vice president of the Gjakova branch of AAK in 2008 and chairwoman of the Municipality of Gjakova during 2009. Currently, she is a member of the presidency, vice president of the branch, member of the steering council in AAK, as well as acting chairman of the AAK Branch in Gjakova. Ms.Haxhiu is a member of Committee on Education, Science, Technology, Innovation, Culture and Sports Committee for Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions, Parliamentary Inquiry Commission on the process of licensing, operation, supervision and application for hydropower plants in the Republic of Kosovo.

Tinka Kurti is a Member of the Parliament from the ranks of VV and the Chair of the Women Caucus. She is the Deputy Chair of the Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Victims of Sexual Violence During the War, Missing Persons and Petitions. Since 2008 she has worked as a journalist in some of the Kosovo media, including the national television KTV, the investigative journalism network BIRN, and the organization ÇOHU. As an activist of VV, she was Chair of the Secretariat for Media and Communication for some time. She has published several authorial articles on labor rights, social equality, and political scandals. She completed her studies in Journalism at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Prishtina.

Uran Ismaili is Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo from the PDK party. He is a member of the Committee on European Integration, Committee on Health, Labour and Social Welfare. Mr. Ismaili is also the Secretary General of PDK and head of PDK branch in Prishtina. Previously he served as Minister of Health of the Republic of Kosovo. From 2010 to 2017, he was engaged in the public sector through advisory work to the Minister of Transport, the Minister of Agriculture, and most recently the adviser/chief of staff of the President of the Assembly. Mr. Ismaili has experience in the implementation of important infrastructure projects and the development of multi-year national programs for grants in agriculture. He led the Ministry of Agriculture in meetings with donors from the EU, the U.S. and the World Bank, developing programs that benefited many sectors throughout the agricultural value chain. He graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School with a Master’s in Public Administration and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Graceland University in Iowa.

Valentina Bunjaku Rexhepi is a Member of the Assembly of Kosovo from the Democratic League of Kosovo, and board member of the Women Caucus. She is also a member of the Committee on Economy, Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade. Ms. Bunjaku Rexhepi represented LDK for the past two legislatures. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Pristina. Currently, she works as a Professor of Math at the University of Pristina.

Veton Berisha is a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo from the Egyptian Liberal Party (ELP). Mr. Berisha is a member of the parliamentary group Nisma - Akr - 6+ and a member of the Committee on European Integration, the Committee on Budgets and Transfers, the Committee on the Rights and Interests of Communities and Returns, the Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing Persons and Petitions, Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry ;regarding the management of the "COVID-I9" virus pandemic by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. Mr. Berisha completed his postgraduate studies at the master level at the Faculty of Law in the field of Civil Law.

Veton Mujaj is the executive director of the non-governmental organization "Syri i Vizionit" and has led this organization since its founding in 1999. First, he was the founder of the magazine "Vizioni" and then the organization "Syri i Vizionit" which was registered in 2001. With over 20 years experience in managing organizations, Mujaj is one of the leaders of civil society organizations who has been dedicated to this sector for a long time. In the professional aspect, he is very knowledgeable on issues, legislation and concepts of civil society, being an expert and trainer in several fields that are mainly related to civil society. He has experience in project proposal writing as well as raising funds for the organization. Being a public activist, engaged in many activities in Kosovo and beyond, Mujaj is a participant and co-organizer in many events that have had an impact on the public life of Kosovo. Mujaj is also a prominent voice by the civil society representative authorities in Kosovo. With his personal commitment Veton Mujaj was continuously member or chairman of board in several organizations at the local level and in the region of Southeast Europe.

Vjosa Osmani is the Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo. Osmani is the first woman ever elected to serve as Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo. Mrs.Vjosa Osmani represented LDK for the past three legislatures. In the previous legislature, Osmani served as the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Diaspora, and Strategic Investments. She has previously served as Chair of the Committee on European Integration and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Constitutional Reforms in Kosovo. She was the most voted woman in the 2017 Kosovo Central Elections. Vjosa Osmani finished her bachelor studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Prishtina, and holds a Master’s Degree and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. She was also a lecturer at the University of Pristina, University of Pittsburgh, and American University in Kosovo (AUK)

Vlora Limani Hajnuni is the Chair of the Women Caucus in the Assembly of Kosovo. She was a member of the Lipjan Municipal Assembly from the Democratic League of Kosovo for three consecutive mandates (2009, 2013, 2017). In 2013, she was elected as a Speaker of the Municipal Assembly, while in the 2017 local elections, she was the most voted woman candidate in Lipjan municipality and became a member of the assembly elected without quota. During the same local elections, Ms. Vlora Limani Hajnuni was engaged as coordinator for the drafting of the LDK Election Platform in Lipjan and coordinator of the Information Office. In 2017 she was entitled as Director in the Directorate of Health and Social Welfare. Ms. Limani-Hajnuni holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry. She was also a lecturer at ‘Pjeter Budi’ University

Xhafer Tahiri is the mayor of Vushtrri. Tahiri is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina'”. Previously he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University “Haxhi Zeka'”, Peja. He also practiced law in Prishtina. In 2014, Mr. Tahiri was a visiting Professor in the USA, at Ohio Northern University. During this period he has given lectures on the LLM program of this University. He has participated in scientific conferences in Europe and the USA where he has published scientific papers in prestigious journals. In 2004, he graduated from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Law. In 2005 he completed his Master's degree in Political Science at the "Institutions and Policies of the European Union'' at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bologna in Italy. In 2007, he stayed for training at the Diplomatic Academy of the Netherlands, at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations Clingendael. In 2008, he graduated from the Albanian Diplomatic Academy. Currently Mr. Tahiri is pursuing a doctorate in law at the Faculty of Law, the University of Graz in Austria. Tahiri is fluent in these foreign languages: English, Italian, Serbo-Croatian, as well as Arabic, and Turkish. Tahiri was the President of the LDK Youth Forum in Vushtrri and from this position he was also elected President of the FRLDK at the national level in the years 2009-2012. As a representative of the LDK youth, he was elected a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.

Xhenet Syka Kelmendi is the Director of the Directorate of Youth, Culture, and Sports. She is the author and editor of many articles and professional columns on the issue of the spread of gender-based violence and has published articles in local and international journals with impact factors, including topics with advanced research on the position of Albanian women from the local and global perspective. She started her political journey in 2007 as a local councilor in the municipality of Peja and continued with this duty for another three terms as she was one of the most voted women in the country. She stands out for her feminist ideology and is a human rights activist with an emphasis on women and children. Since 2010 she has been the chair of the professional board at the Center for Women's Welfare - Safe House in Peja, a task that she directly places as a member of the network of women activists in Europe - WAVE-Europe. She started her professional career in September 1999 as a journalist at Radio "Dukagjini", to continue as editor-in-chief and administrative director at Television "Dukagjini", where she worked until January 2017. During this period she excelled in directing authorial shows from the political-social, economic, health, and cultural fields. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. After graduating with a professional master's degree in EMBA at the IEDC-Bled School of Management, she was engaged as a lecturer and director of Marketing and Public Relations at the European College "Dukagjini" in Peja, where she was also a member of the management board.
