Arben Loshi is the Director of the Directorate for Research, Library and Archives (DRLA), within the Assembly of Kosovo. Arben, has more than 14 years of professional experience starting as Senior Legal Officer within Department for International Legal Cooperation, in criminal and civil matters of Department of Justice of UNMIK and Ministry of Justice of Kosovo, and in 2010 started working in Kosovo Assembly, as Senior Officer for European partnership and from 2012 leading the DRLA. In addition to his primary duties from 2014 to August 2020, Arben was the Chairman of the Commission for Resolving Disputes and Complaints, within the Assembly of Kosovo, from 10 August 2009 – 06 June 2010, he was Deputy Chairman and Member of the Inter-institutional Commission for Assessment of Administrative Practice in the Field of Access to Official Documents. Based on a decision from the previous President of Kosovo Mr. Hashim Thaci, he was a member of the Preparation Team for Establishing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, team in charge to draft the normative act for the establishment of the TRC. Prep Team completed its work by 31 October 2020. Mr. Loshi is a graduated lawyer with an education background which encompasses a Master degree in International Law within the Faculty of Law, University of Prishtina. Also, extracurricular activities such as the completion of two years International Executive Program for Parliamentary Staff offered by McGill University, Montreal, Canada, School of Politics offered by Prishtina Institute for Political Studies and Council of Europe and completed the School of European Integration. Arben, also participated in a number of specialized trainings and internships, such as: programs organized by House Democracy Partnership of the US Congress, Parliament Hill, Canada, EU Parliament, etc.
